While WoW: Forever's Collector's Edition offers a game code, God of War Laufey's 'Collector's Box' is taking the GTA 6 approach and doesn't come with a copy of the game — 'Eventually the statue is going to be digital as well'
The God of War Laufey - Collector's Box has been revealed, and like the Grand Theft Auto 6 collector's edition, the pricey package doesn't include the game.
ONN summary
The God of War Laufey - Collector's Box, priced at £130/$149.99, does not include a copy of the game, similar to Grand Theft Auto 6's collector's edition. This has frustrated fans, who see it as a greedy move. The lack of physical games is partly due to Sony's plan to stop producing game discs by 2028. However, not all companies are following this trend; World of Warcraft: Forever's Collector's Edition includes a digital download code, and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will offer a physical copy and steelbook.
