战士 Protection guide

概览

Protection turns the warrior into a shield tank. Forever makes shield play much better: blocks, dodges and parries all give you Rage, so the more you get hit, the more you can do. Pick it if you want to lead dungeon groups and like a tank that gets stronger the harder the fight is.

How to play it

In order of priority for levels 20 to 30, on one target:

1. Sunder ArmorYour main threat button on one target. Improved Sunder Armor makes it cheaper.
2. RevengeUse it every time it is up. It is cheap, and Improved Revenge adds 20% damage.
3. Shield BlockUse it often. Each block gives Rage with Shield Specialization.
4. Concussion BlowStun the hardest hitter or stop a caster at level 30.
5. Heroic StrikeSpend extra Rage here when one target is on you.
6. TauntGet a mob back when it runs to a healer. It has a short cooldown in Forever.

Several targets

1. Thunder ClapUse it first on packs. It hits up to 4 mobs and now works in Defensive Stance.
2. Demoralizing ShoutLowers damage from the whole pack.
3. CleaveRage dump on packs instead of Heroic Strike.

小贴士

• Charge first in Battle Stance, then swap to Defensive Stance. Baseline Tactical Mastery keeps 10 Rage when you swap.
• Mark a kill order and Sunder the skull target, then tab to others with Thunder Clap and Revenge.
• Keep Last Stand for when your healer is out of mana or stunned.
• Taking hits is how you get Rage now, and armor no longer reduces Rage gained, so a heavy shield and armor never hurt your Rage.
• Use Bloodrage before the pull for a head start on Rage.
