Paladino Protection guide

Visão geral

Protection is the paladin tank. Forever gives it Seal of Fury, which wraps you in a small shield when you hit and makes your Judgement taunt, plus Consecration without spending a talent point. It holds groups of mobs well and has strong cooldowns like Templar's Bulwark.

How to play it

In order of priority for levels 20 to 30, on one target:

1. Righteous FuryKeep it on in groups. Improved Righteous Fury also cuts the damage you take.
2. Seal of FuryYour tanking seal. Each hit gives a small shield.
3. JudgementUse it on cooldown. With Seal of Fury it deals Holy damage and taunts the target for a few seconds.
4. Holy StrikeExtra Holy damage and threat on cooldown.
5. Templar's BulwarkUse it before a big hit or when your healer is behind.

Several targets

1. ConsecrationYour main area threat from level 20. It hits the first 4 mobs hard.
2. JudgementTaunt a mob that runs off the pack back to you.

Dungeons to run

Where most of your best gear drops, best first.

• The Stockade levels 24 to 321 best-in-slot item: Jimmied Handcuffs
• Blackfathom Deeps levels 24 to 32

Dicas

• Shield Specialization gives mana when you block, so a good shield is worth more than a slightly better weapon.
• Templar's Bulwark adds Forbearance, so you cannot use Divine Protection right after it.
• Precision adds 2% hit, so fewer of your attacks and Holy Strikes miss.
• Buff the group before the first pull. Blessings last an hour now.
• Tag every mob in a pack before you stand in Consecration, so none run off to the healer.
