Shaman Restoration guide
How to play Restoration in WoW: Forever: what to press, which stats to chase, the talent build level by level, and the gear and dungeons to aim for.
Overzicht
Restoration is the shaman's healing spec. You heal with Healing Wave and support the group with totems. The build here makes Healing Wave faster, cheaper and more likely to crit, which is all a group healer needs at this level.
Good at
- Mail armor and a shield
- Totems help the whole group
- Fast Healing Wave with the talent
- Can deal damage solo with shocks
Watch out for
- No big group heal before 30
- Slow solo leveling
- Totems need to be close to the group
How to play it
In order of priority for levels 20 to 30, on one target:
- Healing WaveYour main heal. Improved Healing Wave makes it faster.
- Lesser Healing WaveFast heal for spikes.
- Healing Stream TotemSteady healing for everyone near it.
- Mana Spring TotemExtra mana for casters on long fights from level 26.
- Earth ShockInterrupt a dangerous cast when you have the mana.

- Gnomeregan levels 29 to 381 best-in-slot item: Acidic Walkers
- The Stockade levels 24 to 321 best-in-slot item: Kam's Walking Stick
Tips
- Healing Focus stops damage from interrupting your heals, which helps when mobs turn to you.
- Ancestral Healing gives the tank more armor after a crit heal, and Tidal Mastery adds crit.
- Call of the Elements at 20 lets you drop a set of 4 totems with one cast.
- Totems that buff the group last 5 minutes now, so you drop them less often.
- Totemic Projection at 22 moves all your totems, which helps when the tank moves.
Macros
Make a macro with /macro in game, paste the text, and drag it to your bar.
Heals your mouseover, then your target, then yourself.
