Shaman Elemental guide

Overzicht

Elemental is the shaman's caster spec. You throw Lightning Bolts and shocks and use totems for extra damage. Forever makes totems much easier to use, and Dwarves can be shamans now on the Alliance side.

How to play it

In order of priority for levels 20 to 30, on one target:

1. Searing TotemDrop it before you pull for extra damage.
2. Lightning BoltYour main spell. Elemental Alacrity makes it faster.
3. Flame ShockPut it on mobs that will live a while.
4. Earth ShockFinish a mob or interrupt a cast. Reverberation lowers the shock cooldown.
5. Frost ShockSlow a runner or a mob you are kiting.

Several targets

1. Fire NovaFrom level 12 it bursts at your active fire totem. Drop the totem in the pack first.
2. Magma TotemFrom level 26 for packs that stay together.

Stat-prioriteit

1. Nature damage
2. Spell crit
3. Spell hit
4. Spell damage
5. Intellect
6. Mana per 5 sec
7. Fire damage

Tips

• Lightning Overload at 30 gives your bolts a small chance to fire a second, half-damage bolt for free.
• Elemental Focus gives a free spell now and then, so don't skip casts when it procs.
• Weapon imbues last an hour now, and totems that buff you last 5 minutes.
• Totemic Recall at 20 removes your totems and refunds some mana when you leave.
• Use a wand or melee to finish mobs and save mana between fights.

Make a macro with /macro in game, paste the text, and drag it to your bar.
