To make WoW: Forever's controversial Skyborne less "jarring," Blizzard is going back to 2004
An SD toggle arrives in "early 2027"
ONN summary
Blizzard is addressing fan concerns about the Skyborne race in World of Warcraft: Forever by developing SD models for the race. These models will be available early 2027, aiming to reduce the visual jarring when compared to the HD models. The decision is part of a broader approach to ensure the pre-existing races from the original World of Warcraft are well-represented in the HD and SD toggle. While some fans remain unhappy, others appreciate the inclusion of the Skyborne. The race will be available in the game's full release on November 4, 2026, but SD models will be delayed.
