Paladin Holy guide
How to play Holy in WoW: Forever: what to press, which stats to chase, the talent build level by level, and the gear and dungeons to aim for.
Überblick
Holy is the paladin healing spec. You heal with big, efficient single-target spells and you can wear plate and a shield while you do it. The build gets Illumination and Holy Shock, so crits give mana back and you have an instant heal on demand.

How to play it
In order of priority for levels 20 to 30, on one target:
- Flash of LightYour main heal for steady tank damage. Cheap and fast.
- Holy LightUse it for big hits. Healing Light makes it heal more.
- Holy ShockInstant heal for spikes once you take it at 30. It can also damage an enemy.
- PurifyRemove poisons and diseases from the group.
- Lay on HandsSave someone who is about to die.

- ConsecrationYour only area damage when you have spare mana while leveling.

Where most of your best gear drops, best first.
- Gnomeregan levels 29 to 381 best-in-slot item: Acidic Walkers
- Scarlet Monastery: Graveyard levels 26 to 361 best-in-slot item: Bloodmage Mantle
- Shadowfang Keep levels 22 to 301 best-in-slot item: Abomination Skin Leggings
- The Deadmines levels 17 to 26
Tipps
- Spiritual Focus gives Flash of Light and Holy Light a 70% chance to ignore pushback, so you can heal while getting hit.
- Reverence lets part of your mana regen keep going while you cast, so short gaps between heals matter.
- Stack crit and Intellect: Illumination gives mana back on every crit heal.
- Blessing of Wisdom on yourself in dungeons. Blessings last an hour now.
- For leveling, many players use a Retribution or hybrid build and switch to Holy for dungeons.
Macros
Make a macro with /macro in game, paste the text, and drag it to your bar.
Heals your mouseover, then your target, then yourself.
