What's new in WoW: Forever

The big changes from Classic in one place: rulesets instead of realms, the new race, campfires, Legacy points, gear changes and the new dungeons.

Launch and the beta

Rulesets, not realms

There is no realm list. You pick a ruleset when you make a character, and you can't change it later.

RulesetWhat it means
NormalThe baseline game. PvP only when you turn it on with /pvp.
PvPYou are flagged in contested and enemy zones (any zone above level 15). One faction per account.
RoleplayingFor players who want to stay in character. PvP is opt-in like Normal.
HardcoreOne life. Arrives after launch. A dead Hardcore character can move to another ruleset.
