Legacy points explained
How the account-wide Legacy system works: how you earn points, the three trees, what the best early picks are and the cosmetic reward track.
The short version
How you earn points
One point per challenge. Some challenge lists were not fully public when this was checked.

| Tradeskills | Reach skill 150, 225 and 300 in a profession: 1 point each |
| Adventure | World goals such as long quest chains and exploring |
| Dungeons | Spelunker tiers: Novice, Experienced and Master |
| Raids | Defeating raid bosses such as Onyxia |
| PvP | PvP ranks and achievements (details not out yet) |

The three trees
Node names and numbers are from early guides and can change. Each tree can take up to 25 points, but the 16-point cap means you pick.
| Tree | Good for | Example nodes |
|---|---|---|
| Professions | Crafting and gathering | Working Overtime (more skill-ups), Bountiful Harvest (20% more scarce materials), Master Chef, Luremaster, Bartering (5% cheaper vendors) |
| Adventure | Leveling and getting around | Well Rested (more rested experience), Talented (first talent point at level 9), Thrill of Adventure, Field Guide, Frequent Flier (50% cheaper flights, 20% faster) |
| Resourcefulness | Saving time and gold | Reagent Economy (no vendor reagents for class spells), Gourmand (food buffs last longer), Reinforce (less repair cost from dying), Diplomat (more reputation), For Great Honor |

Tips
- Legacy points are shared across Normal, PvP and Roleplaying. Hardcore is handled on its own: Hardcore progress counts for your account, but points from other rulesets don't go into Hardcore. See Choosing a ruleset.
- Leveling a second class to 25 is one of the quickest early points, and it pairs well with Well Rested.
- Try builds in the Legacy calculator and share the link with your guild.
