Ruins of Lordaeron

Getting there

1. Go to the ruined city of Lordaeron, above the Undercity in Tirisfal Glades.
2. The entrance is just to the left as you come into the Ruins of Lordaeron.

Grab these quests first

Horde get most of them in the Undercity, Brill and Silverpine. Alliance get theirs from Captain Truman inside.

1. HordeLight's Justice: Morbin Lightbane, Royal Quarter, Undercity.
2. HordeThe New Plague: Theodore Griffs, the Apothecarium, Undercity.
3. HordeA Frightened Request: Tabitha Heartweaver, the Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest.
4. HordeThe Wrath of Rath'mael: Deathguard Kristof, south-east Brill. Reward choice: Forsaken Greataxe or Gnarled Necromancer's Staff.
5. AllianceAbominable Creatures and Remember That I Love You: Captain Truman, inside the dungeon.
6. Beta quest rewards were around 4,900 to 9,700 experience each before the dungeon quest change on October 1.

The run, boss by boss

The dungeon is open, not a straight line. This is the usual order.

1. Witherfang: near the entrance, with patrolling adds. Wait for the patrol, clear it, then pull. His poison hurts the tank: cleanse it if you can.
2. The Baron (south-east): stand behind him, he cleaves. His knockback drops the tank's threat, so the tank taunts right after.
3. Viktor the Vile (south-west, optional): click the campfire to start. Waves of monsters come first, then Viktor. Save mana for the whole event.
4. The Abandoned (west): walk up to the statue with glowing red eyes to start it. Interrupt Drain Life. Frost Armor slows melee attackers and Frost Nova roots people near it.
5. Bjork (north-west corridor): a big undead troll. Easy, but his knockback can throw you into other monsters.
6. Rath'mael (centre, last): a mage. Interrupt or stun his Flamestrike and move out of the fire. He also pulses damage around him, so melee watch your health.
7. Lordaeron Captain (rare, west): may appear after bosses die. Horde only fight him; he's friendly to Alliance.

Loot to look for

1. Weapons: Vileblood Scimitar, Corpse Chopper, Coldspire Staff, The Stitcher, Meathook Slicer.
2. Armour and jewellery: Witherbite Bracers, Slain Baron's Signet, Tarnished Locket, Crest of Lordaeron (shield).

Tips

• Lots of monsters close together: crowd control and careful pulls make this much easier.
• Priests, paladins, shamans and druids can remove the poisons and diseases here.
• Early guides disagree on the boss order and loot. These details are from the beta and can change.
• Alliance's matching dungeon is Hall of Thanes.
