PvP and Darkspear Islands

World PvP

1. On Normal, Roleplaying and Hardcore you fight other players only if you turn PvP on with /pvp.
2. On the PvP ruleset you're flagged automatically in contested and enemy zones. Any zone above level 15 counts as contested.
3. You can only make characters on one faction per account on the PvP ruleset.

Darkspear Islands

1. A 15 vs 15 battleground with four bases. Hold bases, and carry the enemy's flag to a base you hold to score.
2. Brackets: 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59 and 60.
3. Queue at a Battlemaster in your capital city. Players from Normal, PvP and Roleplaying share the queue.
4. A win gives 3 Marks of the battleground, a loss gives 1.

Honor and gear

1. Honor is a currency you spend on PvP items, from potions to weapons. The PvP system runs in seasons.
2. Higher ranks unlock Elite looks for PvP armour. They're cosmetic: same stats.
3. PvP gear is about as strong as dungeon and raid gear, but built for PvP.
4. Beta change (Oct 1): most honor prices went up about 50% and the honor cap rose from 15,000 to 25,000.

Tips

• Darkspear Islands opens in beta Phase 2 at level 30. Brackets and rewards can still change.
